Bernadete Buckley Kash, TCRG

Bernadette Buckley Kash is the Director of the Buckley School of Irish Dance, which was first established in 1976.  She is a registered member of the Irish Dance Teacher's Association of North America and the Irish Dance Commission, based in Dublin Ireland.  She has been a certified TCRG since 1992.  In addition, she has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Pace University.

The Buckley School of Irish Dance was originally formed as a family business.  Bernadette and her siblings danced competitively in the United States and in the All-World Dance Championships held in Dublin, Ireland.  In addition, they toured Ireland on three occasions as part of the "Shannonaires" Dance and Music Group.

Today, Bernadette personally teaches each of her classes which are held in Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights, Lynbrook/East Rockaway, and Park Slope/Windsor Terrace/Cobble Hill.  They are geared towards students from the ages of four to eighteen in Brooklyn and Long Island. The Buckley School enjoys a high retention rate, with many students remaining for ten years or more.

Julia began dancing with the Buckley School of Irish Dance in 1999 and continued through 2013. She began working for the Buckley School in 2014 while she was completing her BA in Child Study and Speech Pathology at Saint Joseph's College. In 2019, she completed her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at CUNY Brooklyn College, and currently works as a school based speech pathologist for the Department of Education.

In 2002, Margaret began dancing with the Buckley School of Irish Dance. She continued until her high school graduation in 2014 and worked from 2011 through 2015 as an assistant teacher at the Saint Patrick's classes in Bay Ridge. She graduated with her BA in Secondary English Education (Grades 7-12) from CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College in 2018 and is currently working towards an MA in English at New York University.
